When I heard the track Vulfmon and Jackie Evans dropped yesterday I was amazed by Jackie’s wonderful groovy voice and piano playing, the cool tune and of course the bass playing by Joe Dart. I made a transcription of the tune that contains most of the variations. I’d love to share it with you for educational purposes. Joe is a master of the major pentatonic scale and is great at outlining the harmony. The main groove is a C chord to an F chord. Which is the main harmony for the intro, verse and chorus. Joe masterly plays three different variations of the bass line for every section which gives every section it’s unique flavor.
